FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• How long have you been shooting photos? - I began my career as a
Video Camera operator first, about ten years ago, and within a year
I was experimenting with still photography as well. Video Cameras
and Still camera’s operate on many of the same principles, so I
caught on fairly fast. Oddly enough, considering the size and
complexity of professional video cameras, I think that shooting
professional quality photos is a more difficult task?
• How much does it cost? - This is a difficult question to answer,
because there are many different aspects and variables to the work I
do. In general though, I like to give a solid estimate whenever
possible as opposed to half day or day rates. This allows me to work
as long and hard on an image as I feel is needed and you won’t have
to worry about the clock eating up your budget. Please feel free to
call me for a free estimate. 720-231-3237
• What is the time frame to complete a project? – Once the project
is photographed you can generally expect your photographs back
within one to two weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the
project. Scheduling times to get the shoot done can vary depending
on the season, etc, but call if you need to get a shoot scheduled
quickly or for a specific time and date. I’ll do what I can to
accommodate you! Of course the sooner you get on my schedule, the
sooner I can get your shoot done.
• What do you photograph? - I primarily do architectural photography
and interior photography as well as corporate photography
assignments like product photography, executive portraiture and
covers for annual reports.
• What kind of equipment do you have? - I have two full strobe
lighting kits and a tungsten hot light kit. My primary camera’s are
made by Nikon and Hasselblad and are both digital. The back of my
SUV is usually pretty full of equipment when I to go to a shoot.
• Will you travel - I will gladly travel! Give me a call or email
me.
• Do you do image editing? - Yes!... I’m not a graphic designer, but
I have been editing photos for awhile and can repair and or improve
most photographs and prepare them for your project.
• What work do you do after the photo shoot? – After the shoot is
completed there is still plenty to be done. The work I do on the
photos afterwards is what I call processing. Processing includes
sorting through the photo’s for the most successful images from the
shoot, then color correcting, sharpening, cropping, sizing the image
for the customers needed file size and finally encoding the image
into its appropriate format. I then burn to the media you desire or
send them (when size permits) via the internet. This is generally
included in your estimated price.
• What do you think are your strengths as a photographer? - Even
though I frequently do studio shoots, my obvious strength and
specialty as a photographer is in my ability to travel to my
customer and bring all the equipment needed to get the job done.
• Digital or film? - I’ve been shooting digital photo’s for many
years now and in my opinion digital photography provides me the
ability to provide you with a superior product at a reasonable
price. I shoot my photo’s with state of the art, digital, Nikon
