Equipment
Photography is all
about light! There is always natural light, but more often than not
in architectural photography, commercial photography, product
photography and portrait photography, we must supplement or totally
recreate natural light. At times this can require an enormous number
of professional photo strobe units and or tungsten hot lights. Jeff
Butler Photography has more than enough lighting power to capture
the images you need!
Of course a photographer has to have a few cameras and in Jeff’s
case that’s definitely true! Jeff’s primary cameras are his trusty
Nikon D SLR for product, marketing, lifestyle and portrait
photography work and a Truewide camera body with a Hasselblad
digital back for Architecture, still life and executive portrait
work. The Truewide is the strangest looking camera ever, but it
captures beautiful, rich, detailed images!
When Jeff arrives at a typical architectural photography session,
his little SUV has its rear loaded almost to the roof with
equipment. It’s a lot of work lugging three light kits, a commercial
camera bag, a back up camera, a lens bag, light modifiers and all
the miscellaneous other equipment needed, but the color and clarity
this equipment produces in his photographs makes the lug worth it. I
hope you agree!
